ACCION USA Program Director William Mateo Named Non Profit Organization Leader of the Year by the Miami Minority Chamber of Commerce

ACCION USA - Florida Program Director William Mateo has been named 2009 "Non Profit Organization Leader of the Year" by the Miami Minority Chamber of Commerce. The award is issued annually to leaders and professionals who have demonstrated extraordinary standards of excellence and professionalism with dedication in their local business community.
"To me, this award demonstrates that ACCION USA continues to be an oasis for microentrepreneurs and a leader in the field of microfinance not only in Miami, but throughout the State of Florida," said William Mateo. "This award recognizes ACCION USA's leadership in providing services to local entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses, even in the midst of economic recession," he added.
Mr. Mateo will receive the award at the 2009 Chamber Choice Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday October 29, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Double Tree Miami Mart Hotel.
