Sam Adams plans post Black Friday shopping event

The day after Black Friday, the folks at Samuel Adams beer wants local shoppers to think small.
At its brewery on 30 Germania St., Boston-based Sam Adams is hosting a "holiday marketplace" shopping event Saturday where consumers can buy specialty sausages, jams, caramels, homemade breads and other products made by small food-and-beverage start-ups that the folks at Sam Adams are looking to help out.
A few years back, the Boston Beer Co. --- a.k.a. the maker of Sam Adams --- teamed up ACCION USA, a nonprofit micro lender based in Cambridge, to launch Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream, a microloan and business education program available to small businesses in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry. Since 2008, the program has benefitted more than 60 businesses in Massachusetts, Boston Beer said.
