Koch urges shoppers to visit local small businesses

While we're on the topic of Cincinnati brewers (present-day brewers, not historical beer barons), Sam Adams' founder Jim Koch is urging Tri-State shoppers to think small this weekend in observance of American Express' Small Business Saturday.
Koch, a Cincinnati native, founded Boston Beer Co. in 1984 and has successfully grown it into a very large business.
He launched the company's "Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream" microloan program in Cincinnati earlier this year. Now he's hoping shoppers will support the program's local beneficiaries, including Colonel De Gourmet Herbs & Spices at Findlay Market , on Saturday.
