ACCION USA Partner Spotlight: Citi

August 1, 2011
Publication Date: August 1, 2011

ACCION USA would like to recognize Citi for their unwavering support of ACCION USA's mission to empower small business entrepreneurs with access to capital and education. In August 2011, Citi Foundation donated $50,000 to ACCION USA as part of a social responsibility initiative to economically stimulate underserved areas of New York City. Thanks to Citi and ACCION USA's continued partnership, small business entrepreneurs will have access to the financial and educational resources needed to keep their businesses thriving!

Just ask Sonia Baba-Shahverdy. Sonia is the owner of Step by Step Family Day Care, a local small business funded by a microloan from ACCION USA (with Citibank's support). Watch this video to learn more about Sonia's story and see domestic microlending in action!
