Steering Committee Details
The Microfinance Council comprises five Steering Committees that are responsible for implementing all Council activities. ACCION USA Microfinance Council Public Policy Committee
This team enhances and supports ACCION USA's goals, with specific focus on education, advocacy, and public policy. The Committee will raise awareness of the importance of ACCION USA's work and the role of domestic microfinance in the US financial system. ACCION USA Microfinance Council Event Planning & Fundraising Committee
This team will work towards creating better awarness about domestic microfinance, the Council's activities, host various events and also raises proceeds for ACCION USA by use of Social Media and executing a variety of fundraising initiatives . The Committee targets individual donors and hosts large events to achieve its goals. ACCION USA Microfinance Council Membership Committee
This team designs and coordinates direct volunteer opportunities for members with ACCION USA and its clients. Membership also recruits new members, help organize events, and provides a monthly member newsletter. ACCION USA Microfinance Council Business Consulting Committee
This team delivers strategic and tactical business consulting services through a scalable workforce of volunteers to ACCION USA, utilizing the specialized skill sets of its members. ACCION USA Microfinance Council Marketing & Communications Committee (New for 2011!)
This team works with all of the other steering committees to organize and deliver the message of the Microfinance Council. The team also provides for strategic initiatives relating to social media and marketing to promote the Council, ACCION USA and their impact.
