Vice Chair
The Vice-Chair shall, in the absence, resignation, or removal of the Chair, perform the duties of the Chair, and shall generally assist the Chair and perform such other duties as the Executive Committee or the Chair may prescribe. This position also provides flexibility to lead special projects for the Council. The Vice Chair shall also serve as Treasurer of the Council. Apply Now!
Vice Chair, Business Consulting
The Vice-Chair shall, in the absence, resignation, or removal of the Chair, perform the duties of the Chair, and shall generally assist the Chair and perform such other duties as the Executive Committee or the Chair may prescribe. This Vice Chair shall, in addition, be the point person on the Exec Comm for Business Consulting projects. AUSA periodically requests the assistance of the Council for volunteers to provide business consulting services. These projects may include market research, or presentations relating to strategic tools to be used by AUSA. This Vice Chair shall be the main liaison with AUSA on these projects, and shall recruit and lead teams of volunteers to fulfill the consulting requests. Apply Now!
Marketing and Communications Chair
The Marketing and Communications Chair is responsible for communications between the Executive Committee and the Council Members. Such responsibilities include a periodic newsletter to update Members on activities of the Council, updates and innovations on the Council's website, email communications via Icontact, social media marketing tools, and any other methods and tools deemed to be appropriate. This person shall design, implement and maintain such communications and shall work closely with other Executive Committee members to ensure that the Council Members are aware of news, events, and opportunities. Event Planning & Fundraising Committee Chair
The Event Planning & Fundraising Committee provides fundraising support to AUSA. Key objectives of the Fundraising Committee include: (i) lead fundraising efforts; (ii) expand fundraising base; and (iii) plan creative fundraising strategies and events, including Microfinance In Action Dinners, with an objective of meeting annual fundraising goals. This Committee collaborates closely with the Marketing and Communications Committee towards achieving its goals. Apply Now!
Public Policy Committee Chair
The Public Policy Committee promotes and creates awareness of domestic microfinance and AUSA among Council Members and others in New York City. Key activities of this Committee include planning panel discussions, blogging about domestic microfinance, leading the annotated bibliography project, and planning the Microfinance 101 session. This position provides opportunities to build partnerships with other microfinance-related organizations in NYC towards achieving its goals. Apply Now!
