ACCION USA Microfinance Council projects
Members of the ACCION USA Microfinance Council participate on a variety of projects which support ACCION USA's goals and mission. We are continually working with ACCION to assess the current business needs and develop additional projects for volunteers to work on and contribute to ACCION USA. We are also starting to explore a potential program in which Council members can volunteer directly with ACCION USA's clients and will update the group with any developments. To find out about the latest new projects, please contact a Chair of one of the Steering Committees:

List of CURRENT Projects (2011)
- Individual Donor Project - Currently, the majority of ACCION USA's fundraising dollars come from institutional donors as opposed to individuals. This project will focus on developing a strategy for ACCION to attract and retain individual donors. The team will examine ACCION USA's existing individual donors, research what other organizations are doing to bolster their individual giving campaigns and brainstorm new ideas that ACCION USA can employ to provide value to individual donors and ultimately increase the level of fundraising dollars that comes from this largely untapped donor base.
- Mobile Technology Project (Completed in March, 2011) - The goal of the mobile technology project was to determine how ACCION can utilize mobile technology in a cost-effective and practical way in order to enhance their client service and operations. In March, the team presented the different mobile technology solutions applicable to ACCION USA to Paul Quintero, CEO of ACCION USA and Lily Leavitt, ACCION USA's Director of Information Systems.
